New Software Platform Supports The Needs
Of Small And Large Regattas
Brighton, MA – August 1, 2003 -- PowerHouseTiming
today announced a software timing platform, PowerHouse Results, targeted
towards the needs of small and large regattas bringing a best of breed
approach to timing. The integrated software platform includes advanced
results distribution, web-based administration, and offers timing accuracy
up to one thousandth of a second.

practices and features from premier regattas like the Head of The Charles

PowerHouse Results general features enable any regatta
to have a professional timing system for sprint, head, or erg style races.
With PowerHouse Results, a regatta official can use one software platform
for all or their races rather than using a separate software package for
each race style. The PowerHouse Results platform can grow with a regatta
from several entries to the largest regatta. The event management component
supports the needs common to every regatta and allows the regatta to optionally
add robustness with video based time capture, split timing, and multiple
redundant timing systems.
The PowerHouse Results platform supports the highest
level of accountability and flexibility. A regatta can use multiple timing
devices each configured as a separate timing system. The timing systems
can then be compared to show their accuracy vis-à-vis each other.
When used with the FinishLynx photofinish camera, the accuracy can be
up to a thousands of a second, promoting the highest level of fairness
to the competitors of a regatta.
