PowerHouse Timing acquires Regatta Manager
software.

at major US sprint regattas.

MA – September 1, 2003 – PowerHouse Timing today announced
that it has acquired the Regatta Manager software currently used as the
timing software at major US sprint regattas including the Intercollegiate
Rowing Association National Collegiate championship, Eastern Sprints,
and Avaya Championship. The Regatta Manager software provides key regatta
functionality including progression management, event setup, and results
distribution.

with regatta timing is a tremendous asset to PowerHouse Timing,”
said Jason Moody of PowerHouse Timing. “The amount of attention
that PowerHouse brings to timing details is unique and the combined features
of Regatta Manager with PowerHouse Results Platform will bring new capabilities
to these major regattas,” said Bob Nyce.
The software product gives PowerHouse Timing an ideal
perspective in to the needs of major regattas. Working with clients in
Sprint races can take advantage of the same features as at the Head of
the Charles including results available on the web in seconds and quick
results reports. Current customers of the software package include:
• Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Regatta
• Eastern America Rowing Conference (EARC) Sprints
• National Invitational Collegiate Regatta
• New England Collegiate Championships
• New England Interscholastic Rowing Association (NEIRA)
The Regatta Manager setup at these major events works
with a FinishLynx photofinish camera connected to a computer at the finish
line and an Alge wireless start system at the start.
