ECAC to use PowerHouse Timing real-time results for Championship
events.
Cambridge,
MA – May 5th, 2004–Online Commissioner of the ECAC,
Phil Buttafuoco today announced the conference will be using PowerHouse
Timing’s results at the ECAC Collegiate Rowing Series regattas.
The 1st year partnership will bring on-line real-time results and
onsite scoreboard results to the regattas. Results will be available
through the PowerHouse
Timing website (http://www.PowerHouseTiming.com) as the races
progress.
“Having the results available
on the web “real time” will allow athletes, coaches,
and racing fans onsite and around the world, access to race times
and placings immediately following the end of every race in Worcester
this weekend.”
Within seconds of crossing the finish line,
results will be available for access on the internet as competitors
are still on the course. Family members and rowing enthusiasts
can instantly see accurate event results. Several unique tools
are available through the PowerHouse website presenting the results
and also the race progression of boats.
At the regattas, PowerHouse Timing will provide
new onsite monitors showing at a glance results and the current
place in the schedule. The ECAC events have always provided quick
results to competitors. The new technology allows for instant
display as they are available.
The system will be used at the Northeast
Championships, ECAC National Invitational Regatta Championships
and Eastern Sprints.
